BSP Energy Exchange Ljubljana has joined Europex as a full member as of today. Founded in 2008, BSP SouthPool is an authorised Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO) in Slovenia. BSP is part of the recently established ADEX Group, a joint undertaking by ELES – the Slovenian TSO, EMS – the Serbian TSO and EPEX SPOT.
With the inclusion of BSP, Europex now counts 34 members.
In addition, also applicable as of today, MEMO, the Electricity Market Operator of North Macedonia, upgraded their membership from associate to full member after successfully launching their day-ahead electricity market on 10 May 2023.
Christian Baer, Secretary General of Europex, commented: “We are delighted to see our membership grow further. This underlines the importance of a common association of energy exchanges and our strong commitment to help further integrate the Internal Energy Market – within the EU but also with the Energy Community and in particular in South Eastern Europe.”
