Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) is an energy exchange company legally incorporated under the Turkish Electricity Market Law and enforced by the Energy Markets Operation License granted by the Energy Markets Regulator Authority (EMRA) of Turkey. EPİAŞ is responsible for managing and operating energy markets, including power and gas commodities. EPİAŞ ensures transparent, reliable and trustable market conditions as well as an equal access for all market participants by providing a counterparty guarantee of the transactions.
Following the settlement calculations and in line with the participants’ intra-day balancing practices as well as for every day of a billing period, EPİAŞ- in accordance with Takasbank- will notify participants regarding the daily down-payments and the following day’s day-ahead market’s down-payment statements, which involve amounts either payable to EPİAŞ by participants or vice versa.
Market settlement is performed by the market operator EXIST in a fast, reliable and transparent manner.

Graduated from Bogazici University in 1996 (BA International Relations), Mr Türkoglu embarked on his career journey as the Store Manager at Office 1 Superstore. He then consecutively worked as Sales Manager at Casio Office Products (1999-2003) and Sales and Marketing Director at Çalık Holding (2003-2009). In 2010, he was appointed as the Deputy Director of TP Petroleum Distribution Company (TPPD) and he has managed many operations in the areas of sales, marketing, projects and investments, PR, acquisitions, human resources, finance and budgeting and effective coordination of domestic and overseas markets. In 2013, he was appointed as the CEO of Ozturk Group which owns companies such as OPET and Regnum Hotels in Turkey.
Mr Turkoglu, having an extensive experience especially in the areas of contract management, purchase and acquisition, sales, marketing, branding, positioning, strategic planning and entrepreneurship and in the senior managerial position in energy sector, served as the CEO of Turkish Energy Company (TEC) since 2016 and as both CEO and Chairman of Turkish Petroleum International Company (TPIC) since February 2017.
Finally appointed as the CEO of EPİAŞ in June, 2018, Mr Turkoglu is native in Turkish and fluent in English.
